Our first collection of organic extra virgin olive oil celebrates Sicily, the land of our founder Davide D’Alia
Made from olives hand-picked beginning of November when turning from green to violet. Aromas of green almonds, hazelnuts and grass. Mild and well-balanced. The abterra Biancolilla is the perfect ingredient to enhance delicate flavours such as raw or cooked fish, vegetables and mild cheese.
Made from olives hand-picked in October when still green. Aromas of green olives, leaves and grass. Pungent and bitter. The abterra Nocellara del Belice is the perfect ingredient to enhance strong flavours such as red meat, soups and chocolate cakes.
We craft only monovarietal extra virgin olive oils to share the specific taste of each variety without blending or mixing.
We only use olives of the current harvesting campaign to obtain the freshest taste every year.
We have a deep respect for nature and strive to minimise our impact. Our olive growers use organic farming methods and do not use any chemical fertilisers or pesticides.
High quality extra virgin olive oil is the healthiest source of fat and is naturally rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds.
Abterra is a tribute to the land (terra in latin).

Respect expressed by the time taken to observe it, to listen to it and to touch it, to understand it and to preserve it; to let it express all its richness to produce an exceptional juice.
Respecting the land and its ecosystems means creating a unique, rich dialogue with olive growers who share the same demand for quality and the same philosophy. Our olive growers therefore do not use any synthetic fertilisers or pesticides, relying solely on local natural resources, and we extract our certified organic oils using exclusively mechanical means.
Abterra is a return to the land initiated by its founder Davide D’Alia.
“Passionate, since a very young age, about this magnificent tree that is the olive tree and its nectar, the olive oil, I wanted to give another meaning to my destiny. I decided to live by the rhythm of the land and of the olive groves from the best terroirs around the Mediterranean sea. Our first pour is a tribute to the terroir of Sambuca di Sicilia in Sicily, my native land”.
